On my work computer I have to go through a proxy which requires authentication for any external web addresses. The software that came with my N82 seems unable to deal with this quite common configuration. I get the following message:
"There was a problem communicating with the Nokia Software Update Server Computer. Please verify your internet connection."
Is there another way I can install the Nseries PC suite? At the moment I have been forced to install a previous version

If you're computer literate, you can work around that by using your own proxy... IE set up a local proxy that doesn't use authentication which will forward all queries to your company's proxy (this time using authentication).
My networks requires authentication too. I use FF3 but IE is configured as well. When opening anything that connects to Internet, the network proxy ask our login/pass.
