To any one who is able to help.

I am having problems installing the latest version of Nokia Music Player to my PC. I have successfully run earlier versions of this before along with Nokia Suite and my phone an X6.

I am using Vista Ultimate SP2.

The problem started when I was asked did I want to update to the latest version of the player and I clicked on OK. Unfortunately this attempt and all other subsequent attempts to install have failed.

I have tried various fixes as posted to no avail and have cleansed my PC of Nokia Software apart from Nokia Multimedia Common Components 2 5 which will not uninstall. I do not know if this is the problem?

I am lost with out the program.

Does any one have any idea.

This is a second post of the same problem with a bit more detail.

Hey nickjkeys,

Welcome to the Nokia Discussions! If you're unable to delete the Nokia Multimedia Common Components, then go here and Run the Fix it program and uninstall Nokia Player and Nokia Multimedia Common Components. If the Nokia Suite icon appears in the system tray near the bottom right corner of the screen, right click on this icon and select "Exit".

If you're able to delete it now, download Nokia Music player from here, and select Save, not Run. Then run the installation wizard from your PC.

Also remenber that Nokia Suite also has Nokia Player built-in.

If you still have issues, please let me know.

Thank you for your response.

The uninstall worked ok.

The Nokia Music download however failed again.

But following on from a post somewhere I tried downloading the US version and it worked!!!!!!!!!!!

I have also downloaded Nokia Suite again and that seems ok.

Any problems foreseen with my action ie. with US version?

I would appreciate your comments and to see if you have any other ideas why I had the problem with the UK download?

Good to hear you got it working! There should not be any issues you using the US version.

I don't know why downloading the UK version did not work. The malfunction could be due to the PC software, or some part of the music player that did not uninstall.

Hope this time you don't get any more issues!
