NSeries Suite vs PC Suite - what is the right way to go?

I have an N95 8GB.

I installed the CD which came with the phone. Then I "upgraded" to NSeries Suite - but things don't appear to be "plain sailing".

Somethings work the same, some better, some not-at-all, so I've uninstalled and installed:

Nokia PC Suite version 6.86.9.3

and most things appear to be working ok-ish.

But why is this software "later" than the one on the web according to the automatic update check window?

Why do some pages on Nokia's site take you to NSeries Suite others to PC Suite? Some to 6.86.9.0 others to 6.86.9.3? Some to N95 8GB others to N95? Some places tell me the latest firmware is 15 others 20. It all seems a little messy to me.

Any help to navigate this spahetti would be appreciated - OR EVEN BETTER....Nokia SORT IT OUT!

Hi guy_hindle ,

Its always advisable to visit the UK site of Nokia for latest Nokia PC Suite's availablity.

Forum, Please correct me if i am wrong :smileyhappy: ...

If you have NSeries handset, you can use both PC Suites without any problem.

Version 7 is scheduled to come out real soon.... Nokia said it will be out this weekend maybe

It looks great.
using Nokia since ages most recent were the 9300, N95 the E71, and since July 15 - a proud owner of the N97 - later switched to the N97 White
