Hi, I'm using Lotus notes on my work pc and installed pcsuite to sync my data. The calendar and contact's sync fine but the email does not get synced. It finishes without any error. I called nokia care but they don't seem to know wath lotus notes is or that pcsuite supports it
I use a bt connection.
My soft:
Lotus Notes 7.0.2
Windows XP SP2
Pc suite 7.1.30.9
Any suggestions ?

Hi,
While create sync settings for Nokia PC Sync, select appropriate folder you want to sync with Lotus Notes 7.0, and also on Nokia N97 phone, make sure you have created/defined the settings for mail sync.
In PC Suite's help file, you can see the following
On the E-mail section, you can define e-mail synchronisation details. It may not be necessary to synchronise all the e-mails with all their contents every time, since it slows down the process.
E-mail folder selection
Here you can define which e-mail folders you want to synchronise. The options are Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, and Sent Items. If an option appears dimmed, it is not available for the phone model you are using.
E-mail synchronisation range
Here you can define the oldest e-mails you want to include in the synchronisation. The shorter the time interval, the faster the synchronisation will be.
E-mail filtering restriction
Here you can define which parts of the e-mails are included in the synchronisation. The options are message bodies and attachments. For example, you may want to exclude large attachments from the synchronisation to speed up the process.
To further speed up the synchronisation, you can select the size of the e-mails to be synchronised. Select the maximum e-mail size in the Exclude e-mails larger than spin box.
If its letting you to create sync settings, email settings with Lotus Notes should sync email.

I can change al of those settings but it doesn't transfer the emails. I just heared from a colleague that he has the same issue with the same phone and software.

Hi,
Could you please define a new mailbox, and at the same time to make sure that you are using sync email type (not POP3 or IMAP4) on Nokia N97.... Unfortunately i dont have Lotus Notes mail sync to check at my end

Hi,

On Nokia N97's Menu > Messaging > Options(Left side bottom) > Settings > Sync e-mail > Mail boxes > (After successfully defining your mail box ), Here you will have three options namely IMAP4 POP3 Sync, in this select Sync option and then you try to sync.
Please let me know if it works

Hi,
If you want to really store the messages you can install Nokia Photos, Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 from www.europe.nokia.com/pcsuite
or Nokia OVI Suite 2.0.2.42 from www.europe.nokia.com/ovisuite
Using Nokia PC Suite's Communicator, you can store your messages as .csv etc., When it comes to Nokia Photos you can view the contents of your phone messages in PC, where as its physical storage is hidden to users, may be in the form of database.
Nokia Photos will act as your multimedia diary of your sms, mms, photos and videos
Cool one

Hi to all.
I have N97 and Lotus Notes 8.5.1 and the last version of Nokia PC Suite and do not sync anything. I review the log and is it empty.
Can you help me?
Will be that the Lotus Notes version is not supported yet.
Thanks

This drives me crazy - how can it be so difficult - and how can Nokia chose to be so unclear and hereby letting their customers waist their time with following frustrations?
What I have done so far - Without any success getting my Contacts and Calendar entries synchronized:
Installed PC suite ver. 7.1.40.1
Ticked Lotus
Ticked of Calendar and Contacts
Used default values for Server and file names for Lotus Notes (Local and "xxxxxx.NSF" for Calendar and "names.NFS" for Contacts)
Entered my Notes User id and Password
Pressed the sync symbol - 0 updates / transfers ![]()
Ok, then I tried to create a Mail box on my N97:
Phone - Application set. - Messaging - Sync e-mail:
created a mailbox - ticked of sync (not POP3 or other)
entered my internet mail address
defined a logical name "xxx's Lotus Notes"
Pressed the sync symbol - 0 updates / transfers ![]()
H E L P - this can't be right - just let me know I'm stupid - but please show up with something working.

Hi to all.
I review in my cell phone Nokia N97 the profile setting under
Setting > Connectivity > Data Transfer > Sync and verify that Contact and Calendar are selected in the PC Suite Profile.
For some reason the firts synchonization between PC Suite ( PC ) and Cell phone ( N97 ) this checkbox are not selected.
Once this change the sincronization is functional for myself.
I have Windows XP SP3, Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.6 and Nokia N97 with the last Symbian OS update.

My problem and frustration is gone - what I did was trying to synchronize via BlueTooth instead of using the cable - and it works perfectly, and even every time.
That's all for now!

Due to restrictions at my compnay I am unble to use the Bluetooth connection to sync my Lotus Notes.
What is the procedure to overide and default bluetooth connection and sync via cable?
