N70 and PC Suite

Hi,

I'm having a few problems with regards to PC and Phone communication.

I have Win Xp Pro Sp2 all updates security fixes etc.
I have downloaded and installed:
Nokia PC Suit (6.70.22)
Nokia Driver for Nokia DKU-2, CA-42, CA-53 (My cable is CA-53)

when I try a synchronisation I get: PC Sync has encountered a problem and has terminated the synchronisation.

I can't upload/ download MP3, AAC, any midi picture files to or from my phone.

I have tried re-installing Nokia software several times, tried the trial version of Oxygen Phone Manager II all with the same result

http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y92/AAOMorpheus/Nokia.jpg is a Pic of screenshot of issues as well.

1 - Using explorer I get an error - The Operation could not be completed

2 - Transfering Music is greyed out

any further info required please let me know.

I'm loving the phone but this is making me a little despondent.

Re: N70 and PC Suite

Interesting dilemma and thank you for the picure, it helped to compare with how it should work.

Your phone seems connected to PC Suite because the phone icon is there, but something has gone wrong in the folder listing, because when I connect my phone to Nokia Audio manager, I always get a rathe long list of folders and subfolders visible underneath the phone icon.

Have you tried using Nokia Audio Manager separately so that the Nokia Phone Browser is not open at the same time ? Or vice versa ? If you use only Nokia Phone Browser and select the "folders" view in Windows Explorer, can you see the folder and subfolder structure of your phone then ?

Can you make a backup from the phone ?

Can you syncronise the "contacts" folder underneath the phone icon in Nokia Phone Browser ?

Re: N70 and PC Suite

This worked for me: go to Start/Run and enter

Regsvr32.exe %Windir%\System32\Ole32.dll

Click OK and the "phone browser" works again!
