Im trying to sync my Nokia 5800 using USB cable.
Using Bluetooth works fine. Same with ISync and using Phone as modem.
But USB will not work at all. Syncing media with Bluetooth is kind of pointless when it takes 10 hours..
I have had some problems with Multimedia Transfer with Bluetooth and mounting USB card.
But somehow it started to work after reinstalling 7 times. (Also Zapped all files before reinstall)
I have Os 10.5.6 and Multimedia Transfer 1.4.
Macbook pro with Core 2 Duo 2.16 GHZ.

Hi,
There might be corrupted plist entries of NMT pertaining to the device. Could you please try the steps below and check if it works.
-Open HDD-Library-Application Support-Find and Delete the entire Nokia Multimedia Transfer folder.
-Then navigate to users-Library-Application Support -Nokia Multimedia Transfer (delete) -Applications-Nokia Multimedia Tranfer-Control Click-Show package contents.
-Delete the entire contents folder.
-Make sure the trash is empty.
-Download and install NMT again from www.nokia.com/mac
-Now connect the device
-Go to NMT> Tools and Settings > Check for updates now
-Restart Mac
-Connec the device via USB and check.
Hopefully this works
Cheers

Hi Sandy.
I'm wondering if you can help me. I downloaded the media transfer application from the Nokia web page last night and it worked fine (I am using it with an imac with Leopard and Nokia 5800). Today when I have gone to open it, it wouldn't open. The mac seems to think the application is running but isn't showing up anywhere. When I try to connect the phone via the usb port it says
"The Nokia device “Nokia 5800 XpressMusic” is currently connected in a USB mode not supported by Nokia Multimedia Transfer or iSync."
I folowed your tips below on how to solve this problem. But when I go to download the application again the progress bar only goes about three quarters of the length then dumps the zip file straight into the trash. I'm assuming it won't download properly. Any ideas?
Thanks for your help
Cheers
Phil
