Hi there,

Help...! Just upgraded by Nokia 6300 to v5.5 of the firmware as have had many problems in the past with it crashing during a PC Sync with Lotus Notes to share contacts and calendar invites (phone screen would go white and just leave battery indicator).

Have now upgraded the firmware, I cleared down the contacts on the phone and went to sync them across from the PC.
It doesn;t work! Phone just gives an error message says it is unable to to a data transfer.

Have re-paired the phone, re-installed PC suite etc. but not luck....

CAn anybody help as seem to have no way of getting my several hundred contacts back onto my phone!

Have you sorted this problem as yet, the same thing has happened to me - the phone carried out one sync with the Contacts and when I tried to do the Calandar as well it is stopping at about 75% of the contacts. If I do the calandar on its own it will complete, any ideas.

I am having the same problem with 5310 Xpressmusic phone. I upgraded the phone firmware to v.5.81, and now PC Suite no longer syncs with Lotus Notes. It indicates phone is not ready and should be placed in standby mode (which it is). Prior to upgrade of the phone firmware, the software was syncing contacts and calendar perfectly. I can still explore, move photos etc using PC Suite -- just the sync not working.

I am using PC Suite v. 6.86.9
PC is Windows XP

Hi All,

I'v been having the same problem with my 6300 since I got it in February. Have all the latest firmware and PC Suite versions installed.

Lotus Notes 6.x is my master contacts database, and first-time sync to phone works fine.

If I then try to sync contacts from my 6300 to any of my other devices (PDA or SatNav) it locks up on the 88th record, I get a "white screen of death", the phone reboots.

After that, it is not possible to sync with Notes or any other device and, perhaps a clue here Nokia, the 6300 contacts database becomes read-only! Only by deleting the entire Contacts lists and resynching, can I again edit numbers. This is INFURIATING!

Nokia, I've read other posts, describing similar issues, this feels to me like an issue with character parsing in the address records. PLEASE INVESTIGATE.
