I just got a 6555 and the voice recognition of names in my address book is terrible. My old 6126 seemed to do a much better job of recognizing names. Is anyone else having this issue? Could it be my particular phone? Can the recognition performance be improved?

Voice recognitions depends upon the sensitivity of the input device namely the microphone. Put the volume in midrange & do the training where there is not much ambient noises.

Also please do bear in mind - that both phones mentioned might have different microphones chipped in.

What "training" are you referring to? Can the voice reco on the 6555 be trained to my voice?

nokia's voice recognition is not good at all. you have to keep in mind the pronunciations of the words,and the place should not be noisy.
