nokia pc suite

I just downloaded Pc Suite for my Nokia 6555 because I wanted the maps installation. Now I find I can't download it to that phone. Is that true? Anyone else find that?

Re: nokia pc suite

There isn't a version of nokia maps for the 6555. Nokia maps is only available for S60 smartphones and a few series 40 phones that have it as part of the operating system.

The 6555 is a series 40 phone and not one of the models that includes nokia maps. It cannot be added to it.

You should consider google maps instead as it's free but requires a data connection.

Visit m.google.com on your phones web browser and look for the downloadable version.

Re: nokia pc suite

Nokia Maps is mainly for the S60 phones, which take SIS installation files - the 6555 is not such a phone.

Only very recently has a version been introduced for S40 phones, but so far it only works with a small number of models.

Re: nokia pc suite

Thanks for the help. I just downloaded google maps. Would have saved a lot of frustration if Nokia was a little clearer.

Re: nokia pc suite

Which bit wasn't clear exactly? Can you post a link to it?

I haven't seen anything that suggests that the 6555 is compatible.
