I was on my 6233 today for an hour and it got really warm, is it supposed to do this?

Phones will always build up heat when they're in use for long periods of time... Especially if you were holding it for the entire time (as opposed to having it on speaker phone or using a headset)

It's not unbearably hot is it?

If you're worried about the temperature, I'd pop it in to your nearest Nokia Service Centre and ask if they can check it out.

It wasn't unbearably hot, but i was surprised how warm it did get. i wasn't holding it the whole time. But i have never had a phone do this before. Not that i can remember anyway.

i have, it is suprising how warm they can get when you use them.

the 6233 has some metal on it also? i have found with metallic phones they will get warm when your in a call, or when you receive one.

no worries, i used to use the N91. i found in low signal areas it would get warm when ringing and when i was speaking on it

One fix is to switch to GSM.

UTMS is near microwave frequency on 2.1ghz where as GSM is usally more 900mhz so it wont get as hot because it doesnt require as much power to transmit and recieve
