ok so i have set a security code on my phone and now when i enter it to unlock and use the device it rejects my code saying that its wrong, (my OLD 3330 used to do that but only after entering the code incorrectly a couple times you would then have to take the battery out and switch the phone on again then enter the code and it would work) so i have tried to take the battery out and still no luck
anybody know how to do a hard reset on the phone or a code that will reset the security code please help me

Is the code you are refering to the 5 digit lock code of the 4 digit pin code for the sim card?
If it is the 4 digit pin code for the sim card then after a few failed attempts you will need to contact your network and get the PUK code from them. You can then use the PUK code to reset the earlier 4 digit pin code.
If it is the 5 digit phone lock code then you will have to get it reset at your local Nokia Care Point. You will need to have proof of ownership with you before they will reset it for you.
You can find your nearest Nokia Care Point at:

The 6500 uses the more basic S40 operating system so you can't do a hard reset. The reset does work with some S60 phones.
As well as that, what is the purpose of having a lock code if all the thief has to do is to reset the phone?
You should be able to get the Care Point location for South Africa using this link.
