Hi all,

I'm facing a problem with my Nokia 7610. Whenever I need to input a text in some text field, I can only type numerics with my keypad and I cannot change the input mode to alphabets. The input mode icon doesn't appear as well. For instance, if I'm composing a new text message, I can only type numeric characters with the keypad and cannot change the input mode to alphabets.


Does anybody has the solution?

I've done all I could to resolve this problem but its still bugging me, please help.

I've restored the factory default setting with the hotcode *#7780#, I've formated my MMC, I've cleared any personal settings, i've cleared all my text messages but nothing gets me out of it.

In addition, when i goto Menu > Settings > Phone Settings > General the phone says "App Closed gs"

I'll be looking for a response from any of you

have u tried to press # sign? for 2 seconds for changing text to numbers...

Yes I have. If I keep on holding down the # key, it doesn't do me any good except repetdly displaying # key in the text area.

Moreover, the special text function key (the key with pencil sign over it) doesn't work.

It's not an operational problem with my phone, it's something very far i guess

i have nothing more to suggest, have it checked with Nokia care center nearest you...
