Last week I bought a Nokia 7100 for my son (living in the land of Nokia). Beforehand I checked that the model had the flight mode feature on both the Finnish as the English version of this website.
However, now we have the phone, we cannot trace the feature:mansad:. Normally, I would expect to go to the profiles from the menu and select it from there. Unfortunately it does not show there.
Somewhere on this discussions page it is mentioned that flight mode and offline are the same, but I cannot the trace the latter as well.
Is this somekind of bug or does can it be activated elsewhere on the menu?
Any help is appreciated.

OK, I have tried that, but no flight mode/offline came up.
Note: model 7100 is a slider and on/off button, is the same one as used for terminating a call. How log do I have to press the button in order to activate, because if pressed too long the phone switches off completely.

here is the online guide which in most cases provides more info than the manual you get

Tried it again but to no avail.
A list appears only when I press the button marked 'Go to'. Flight mode/offline does not appear here. Pressing the the on/off button does not provide a list. When pressed long enough though, the phone is switched off.

I already tried the profiles and flight mode is not mentioned here. There are 6 profiles mentioned General, Silent, Meeting, Outdoor, My style 1 and My style 2.
How do I apply the 12345 factory reset code and what can I expect to happen?
I do not think it is phone for a different intended market. I am living in Finland and the 2 manuals enclosed were in Finnish and Swedish as expected for the Finland market. Besides I bought the phone from a reputed Finnish chain.
I also checked the product on Nokia.com in both Finnish and English and on both specs pages under 'Communication and navigation' - 'Operating frequency' Lentotila/Flight mode is listed.
Is this perhaps a software bug that can be remedied by re-setting or re-loading the phone's software?

In that case, Offline/Flight mode is not available for the time being, if you don't see it listed there.
You can try restoring factory settings by typing *#7780# at the stand-by screen. Enter the lock code when prompted: default code is 12345. All your settings will be set to factory defaults - themes, profiles, ringtones, display settings, etc. You will not lose any data.
Post back your results...

I returned the phone today to the shop. They were as surprised as I was. Checked the specs again from the Nokia website. They will try to figure out what is wrong. Perhaps Nokia can rectify the product info.
Anyway thanks for the help.
