I have been looking at the specifications on gsm arena for the 701 which is due to be released Q3.

I notice that the phone will not be coming with gorilla glass display as does the 700.

Would there be a reason that Nokia will not be including gorilla glass display for the 701 and what are Nokia planning as an alternative  to make the screen more resistive to knocks and scratches ?

GSMarena doesn't usually have all the details until they have tested a device.
They will update it closer to the phone's release date then all the features will be listed correctly

Read that link. The 701 will come with Gorilla glass
