Nokia 6555 - Display & Vibrate Mode

How do you change the timer on the main display? Right now, it stays on for a very short time before the display goes black.

Secondly, how do you quickly change the phone to vibrate mode?

Thanks.

The easiest thing would be changing from general to silent mode. You can do that by pressing the # key for a couple of seconds and wait for the confirmation message.

I have the same problem and I don't think the current reply answers the question. Is it NOT possible to extend the amount of time that the display stays on? Now it is just a few seconds and it is very irritating.

No. I reckon it's a battery energy saving measure - to prolong battery usage between charges since the Nokia 6555 sports a TFT, 16M colors display.

Re: Nokia 6555 - Display & Vibrate Mode

I did talk with Nokia Care rep., and was informed that indeed the 6555 does not have a feature that will allow the display to stay on longer. Wish I had known that before buying. Bummer.
