Hi there

I am hoping someone can shed some light onto this for me. Basically i have just brought myself a Nokia 6500 slide as my previous Nokia phone was faulty having had my previous phone for 12 months there were a lot of things ie pictures music etc on the memory card that i wanted to keep and transfer onto my new 6500 slide however when i put the memory card into the 6500 slide it doesnt seem to recognise it. It doesnt  display any messages or anything, it just does nothing! i go into the gallery to see if i can retrieve the pics on tunes on the memory card but they're not there, i took the phone into my local O2 shop and the girl i spoke to said it was a software fault and i can rectify it by going onto the Nokia website and downloading the latest software for my phone but there is no option for a Nokia 6500 slide on there! 

I just dont understand it because the memory card i am trying to use in the phone is exactly the same as the one that the phone came with except it has a bigger capacity.  As a result of not being able to use the memory card i am constantly getting messages coming up saying that the phone memory is full and i have to keep deleting things every other day!

I tried this and yes you are right it does appear that my phone is on there owever after down loading the software onto my laptop when it asks me to plug my phone into the USB post it doesnt seem to find it, just keeps saying "searching for connected device" but after a couple of minutes it then just says it was unable to find it.

Any other ideas?

I also bought myself nokia 6500 slide, but the thing is the fon cant read the memory card when i put the memory card in it. i have updated the software version but the memory card is still not detected. am running out of memory and its getting annoying.

@hostie - he's asking if you have windows (what version) or mac.

Many thanks friend. In fact my 6500s slipped out of my hand and by then i was unable to access my memory card. Now i get the reason. That golden pin was not getting pressed properly from the back case. Its pressed now and its working.

Am thankful to all and suggest nokia not to place such non user friendly options.
