Hi. I have a problem with my nokia 6303. It makes bad pictures ![]()
When I say bad... I actually mean disastrous pictures... Practically unusable.
My old Nokia 3110 classic although had only 1.3 MPX made better pictures.
Does anyone knows if it is possible to take the camera from the 3110 and put it to 6303?
Probably I will not be able to make videos... but I don't mind at all if I can get minimum quality pictures.
Thank you.

The Nokia 6303 has a 3.15Mp Camera, the quality should be better that your old 3110C.
Start Camera
Go into Options
Select Restore Camera Settings
Hopefully this will set your camera back to being usable again.
Hope this works.

I don't have options in any menus of the camera.
I have settings: and there are:
-image storage
- default title
- image quality
- image size
-image preview time
-camera and vid sounds
Maybe you are talking about other phone which has that option.
I had such great hopes in this phone... so far it was a failure ![]()
It is my 7th Nokia phone and it's the first time I can say only bad things about a Nokia phone.
The camera is really a junk.
It's a pity.

Hi
How are you using the Auto-focus feature?
It took me a while to work this out: Look at the screen, hold down the navi-key button, and I mean press it down and hold it. Auto-focus kicks in and whilst you're holding down the image is a bit more shakey, wait for the focus "frame/square" to go green and release the button to take the picture.
Still bad?
What about if you look at the photos on PC - still as naff as ever?
Cheers,

I learned how to use the autofocus... the best is to choose self timer.
this way you don't shake the phone while doing the pictures, yet the pictures are bad ![]()
The phone is now in the service since it makes a background noise when the lights are on.
I didn't told them about the camera though. I don't know what to do.
you can see here some samples taken with 6303:

Press zoom to see the actual size of the pictures.
They are rather bad.. practically useles ![]()

Hi
I've looked at the link you sent. I don't get it - I must be missing something, the pictures are in focus, colour balance (hue/saturation) looks pretty Ok, exposure looks OK....details are there....what am I missing? Why do you say they are useless?
(BTW you have some nice photos in your albums! )

The details are nowhere ![]()
The pictures are all "pixelated" and fuzzy, there is no clarity at all.
My 3110 makes better looking pictures.

these pictures are made with nokia 3110. They are not fuzzy at all.
Thery are quite clear, the details are there.
I don't want to pay for a 3,2 megapixel junk camera which doesn't work.
Why does Nokia insists putting a "better" camera just to rub people? ![]()
Nokia should not treat its customers like this. I want a refund for my 6303... it'a junk,
but in Romania that is not possible. It has been a week since I gave it to service. No answer yet ![]()

Hi have you got any updates from the service centre regarding the backround noise issue with your nokia phone.
i bought a nokia 6303 which makes a noise when the display lights are on, i informed about this in the store where i bought, they said that they have to send the phone to the nokia service centre or their head office to confirm if there is a noise, before they could replace the phone,
please update me if they have fixed the issue or not
Thanks,
Ruf

I sent the phone to nokia service TWICE, but they refused to fix it. The second time I wrote myself a note attached to the phone explaining that the background noise is heard when there is quiet in the room. The noise is CLEAR. They just said that the phone is working properly. Also the camera is garbage
I don't know why nokia put a 3mpx garbage camera instead of putting a 2 mpx proper camera. Nokia is going down unfortunately. I think this is my last Nokia phone. You cannot mock your customers and hope they'll came back to buy more.

photos taken by your 6303 is having only 56 kb file size. actualy it should be of 660 kb . It means that you have chosen low quality on photo setting or saving it on a folder which is intend to email later.
this makes the photo being reduced to lower size compomising its quality.

Hey, you cant change the camera but i'm sure that you would like to do. Though the picasa album you mentioned as pretty good pictures. It isn't necessary mean that 1.3MP camera would take good pictures than 3.15MP. Just play with your camera more and you will find it far better than 3110c's greenish pictures.![]()
