Nokia 6233

Hi, I have a 6233 unlocked from optus. When I start the phone up I get an Optus logo and penguin across the screen.
Is there a way to get rid of this?
Also is there any way to ajust the back-light when reading text messages?

Re: the logo, no you can't get rid of it. The phone you have is optus-branded.

However, if you can obtain written permission from Optus to remove the Optus branding, you can take that and the phone along to a Nokia Care Point, where they can install generic Nokia firmware in the phone.

Exactly.

At least not on a Series 40 phone such as the 6233. Symbian S60 phones such as the Nseries and Eseries devices and newer 6000 series such as the 6220 allow you to set the backlight brightness and timeout value.
