Nokia 5310 Headphones problem...

I got this phone just yesterday and when I unwrapped the headphones from the plastic bag, I also unrolled the headphones and I noticed that the right ear wire is way longer than the left ear wire so it's rather uncomfortable when I put them on because it's a significant difference. I haven't found a way to adjust the size, is there any possible way? It's really bugging me to adjust how I move my head because of how the wires are.

Re: Nokia 5310 Headphones problem...

good question there, unless i am mistaken i don't think there is a way to adjust the headphones length so that the left and right ear wires are equal in length...i know you can adjust them in normal headphones you buy but not with the nokia ones. as you have a 3.5mm jack on your 5310 anyway, my recommendation is to buy another set of better-quality headphones (say sony) so that you get better sound quality and bass for listening to music. if you are using your in-box headphones for calls, then well i would suggest sticking to them.

hope this helps

Thanks. So they come like that for everyone? I wonder why they would make it that way, you can't keep your head straight without the left ear bud falling. :smileysad: So you mean to say Sony ones will sound better for music? I thought these were good, so I would imagine the Sony ones must be amazing, haha. Is there any specific ones you recommend? Because I was using them for the radio and music player, not for calls.

Would these be good?

They're red like my phone. :smileyhappy: Also, I know you need the headphones for the radio to function, will any others work as well?

hi there, no worries, yep they come like that for everyone. even my old nokia 6288 headphones had the same problem, i tried for hours to adjust the length but to no avail :smileysad:. generally yes Sony ones are better for music unless you are a real music buff and will go for sennheiser/bose. but those headphones are expensive and what is the point, you don't want headphones that are so rich in bass and crisp in sound quality that give you a headache :smileytongue:. so yeh go for Sony ones, mid-range ones should be fine (don't buy the cheap ones). i have MDR-Q38 clip-on-the-ear sony headphones they have lasted an extremely long time...you should be able to find in-ear headphones at the same price.

p.p.s yep any headphones will work for the radio, any headphones have the wiring inside that is used for FM radio signal for the phone. the link you showed me is just fine, those headphones are great (as they have the neodymium magnet which is important for better sound quality)

Don't worry is the way it is. This is because the right earphone goes around your neck. Just put your earphones in that way and you will got no problem.

Yes. wm1983 is definitely right. This is intended for the earphones not to bobble up especially while running.

Re: Nokia 5310 Headphones problem...

Regarding Headphones, whenever i plug in the headphone pin into the phone jack my phone refreshes and i receive no sound from the headphones. Even if the phone doesn't refresh immediately it does so few minutes later..sometimes the phone reboots itself. Can anyone help me in this regard??
