check you are not duplicating any numbers. If you have the same in the phone and the sim, and you use both the phone and sim memory. then the phone will only show the number...

Also some networks do not support this type of feature.

please make sure that the number of the contact saved in your phone list in the same way you receive it, as an example if you save the phone number including the country code +231234567 and you receieve the number as 00231234567 or 01234567 (without the country code) then the phone cannot match the numbers and it will show the number rather than showing the name.
