The Nokia 1800 has only 2 Selection options:

- SIM

-Telefon

(The 6230i for example has also the third option SIM+Telefon)

OK, but the phone ALWAYS use both memory and if you copy the contacts from Sim to Telefon (for use with multicontactlist), it views every entry double! That's big nonsense!! I use the sim for backup my contacts, if my phone get's damaged, I took the sim to the new phone, ready.

Easy and cheap is good for users with low requirements. But this is stupid! Better I pay 1Euro more and get a useful solution.

If you are using the SIM only for back-up.. means the same contacts are on SIM and in Phone.. In this case why do you need to select both options ??? Selecting ONLY the phone memory should sort the issue...

Its a low end Phone & doesn't have the advanced feature of using individual memory separately. The memory selection is to select where to save the contacts & not which memory to show the contacts. So there is not a way to avoid getting double contacts.
