N95 - White screen

hi i turned my N95 on yesterday and all that happened was a white screen appeared - normally when i turn it on there is a subtle vibration, white screen & nokia sign - yesterday nothing. i've taken the battery & sim card out and charged, all to no avail.

any ideas on how to resolve?

many thanks.

Re: N95 - White screen

If your phone won't power up, the only things you casn do yourself are removing the battery, which you have done, and the 3 finger reset.

At this stage, I would normally be suggesting you backup your phone but you can't, so I hope you already have backups from before.

Then try the "3 finger deep reset" which is depress these three keys simultaneously "*" "3" "green phone" and then power on phone whilst keeping those same three keys depressed until you hear start-up tone.
This should ONLY be done if the device doesn't power up normally anymore and it wipes everything in the Phone memory that is not part of the ROM.

If this doesn't work then you should bring it to your local Nokia Care Point.
