Hey, i just upgraded my firmware to V10.0 yesterday. since then no application that was installed/that i instal now is working. It just returns the error message "Certificate not found on phone or sim". What can i do? please help.

Hey! I think something has gone wrong during the process. So, what you can do is, try to reinstall the firmware or else care centre will be the only option left...

Have you tried to remove sim card? See whether those applications are then working.
Try to reset it to factory defaults.
If still its not working then as stated by abhishekkai08 you could go to Nokia Care.

what size memory card do you have and is the apps jad files

The memory card is 8gb. I've tried it without the sim, but it made no difference. How do i re install the software, or for that matter install and software? All i do is use the nokia software updater... Also, if i restore it to factory condition, will the backups that i took using the phone and not using pc suite still work? And will i have to update the software again? I really don't think i can take it to the care centre, my warranty has expired, and they'll charge enormous amounts for small things such as re installing the software...

Oh, and the applications don't work only if they have jad files, when i delete the jad files, it works perfectly, but it asks me for permissions and all...

 a factory reset just returns the phone to original settings no data will lost

select menu/ settings/restore factory settings the code, is 12345 if it has not been changed by you

Unfortunately, you have a backup of all settings and other stuffs in phone memory so you can restore everything which is backed up. Or maybe newer s40 phones support to backup selected things?

I've got the same problem. I had v9.40 software on my 5610. I updated my phone before, os I knew what to do. I made a backup, updated the firmware to 10.00, restored the settings, then tried to reinstall the applications.

I wasn't able to install any apps with certificate anymore. I used Gmaps, Gmail, Operamini and so on.. I had the latest of them before with certificates. Now I can install only the versions without it.

I've tried this, but it's expired.

Anyone have an idea?

Hey people, i tried resetting to factory, it made no difference. Anything else? Also, how can i download the firmware of only one particluar version, and not necessarily the latest one?

I also face same issue after updating my phone 5610-d software to version 10. Previously my phone software version is 4.82. When ever I tried to download (via GPRS) Opera mini4 or google maps to my phone it says "Certificate not found on phone or sim". Is there is any alternative way to trouble shoot this issue without taking it to Nokia care? reason behind this is I dont have valid warrenty period. Thanks in advance!

Hey guys plz help me too. Whenever i try to download software from Nokia OVI store it says 'Certificate not on phone or SIM' so i've downloaded authority certificate from http://gcalsync.mobi/ca and from http://www.verisign.com/cgi-bin/support/rootcert/getrootcert.cer. From these sites i just got Class 3 public primary certificate and i'm facing this problem still now. My phone framware is - Nokia 5300. v 05.51 05-09-07 RM- 146. Plz somebody help me

Hai.

I have some thing to solve this problem.

1) Move that file to memory card.

2) Connect the memory card to Computer via Card Reader or Data Cable.

3) Delete the jad file of that software.

4) Remove the Memory Card from Computer and try it in your mobile.

5) It will Help you.
