Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

I have RM-364. Also, Im using an old Connectivity Cable Driver (rel 6.85.10) since the new one is not working on my winxpsp3 systems.

By security locks, I mean "security keyguard" in settings > phone and "security level" in settings > security

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

Still nothing. But it seems it can be updated via gprs, I will try it later or I will have to visit some service center. It is weird because I remember updating it to 7.16 without any problems...

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

Via gprs or bluetooth pan it says that there is no updates available. It almost seems to me like another easter egg from nokia :smileysad:

Try in a Nokia care centre. They should do it without problems.

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

It complicated to update firmware in authorized service, they wont me to pay 1/6 of the phone price or wait until next week because they are bussy. I guess I will just wait for newer version of NSU. However I have a question.
When I'm trying to upgrade via OTA, no matter if I choose gprs or bluetooth, it keeps saying there is no new version available. I've read that it depends on my local service provider. I understand that in case of gprs connection, but when I'm using internet connection of my PC via BT, it has nothing to do with him, hasn't it ?

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

No, you can not set volume for alarm. However I don't think we need this function, you can always use custom wave tone with specified volume.
Actually it seems to add a new bug, I'm not sure about it yet, but phone thinks that battery is full even after two days. When I turn it off and on again, it finally starts to show 3/4 battery.

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

Now, few days ago, I can tell you that there is no problem with battery indicator at all, actually it seems that it can stay charged for longer time than before. But its based only on my personal feelings after thinks like reflashing firmware again and restoring factory default settings, so I may be wrong.

To the previously discussed bug with charger and connected message when battery is full, I have tried it once and no bug appeared. So it seems to be fixed right now.

Btw after flashing my firmware, some java applications broke and I had to delete them. They could not be started. It is expectable when they are in phone memory, but I tried it once more and they broke again even in SSD card memory. I dont really mind it, I'm just curious how can it happen. I thought I understand Java ME, I actually wrote my bachelor thesis about it :smileywink: Can you explain it?

Regarding the battery, I also think that the standby time has improved noticeably. It would be nice if Nokia could provide changelogs for firmware updates...

Re: Alarm on 3120 Classic

hi to kaastrup & evry1,

As told by me earlier regarding alarm problem and display, flashing of screen.

i got my phone updated again as advised by nokia care with same version 7.16, but it made no difference and my problem is still there.

also i had a very bad experience with nokia care guys, they first told me to come back after 4-5 days to pick up the phone. and when i went they told me that my phone is dead and that they need to send it to a higher level and it will take a month.

but actually it took more than a month, u can say a brand new which i had bought hardly a month back was with nokia for atleast 45 days.

SHAME ON NOKIA for giving such poor after sales service, i am really disappointed with nokia & now will think 5 times before buying a nokia phone.

Shaz
