6280 vs. 6288

What's the difference between these two phones (except design and memory card size)?

Re: 6280 vs. 6288

Surprised the 6288 didn't end up being the 6280i.

Of course to be an "i" model it would have to add something new. :smileytongue:

Re: 6280 vs. 6288

I would say they should share the same accessories, but you have to ask Nokia to make sure (http://europe.nokia.com/A4144989). At least they share the same stereo headset included in the sales package (HS-23), the same battery (BP-6M), and the same charger (AC-4). The 6288 accessories section on the Nokia site contains only a very few accessories listed: the Nokia 616 car kit (which by the way is compatible with both the 6280 and the 6288), the Nokia 1 GB miniSD card (obviously compatible with both phones), and the Nokia BH-900 bluetooth headset, which is compatible with the 6288 and the 6270, but not with the 6280.

Re: 6280 vs. 6288

I have just bought a 6288 and a CR-23 cradle to work with my CR-7W car kit. Fitted it today in place of my original MBC-15 setup and it works a treat. So I see no reason why anything listed for the 6280 should not work with the 6288. I also bought a 2GB mini SD from ebay for £10 and it also works fine in my 6288.

Re: 6280 vs. 6288

N6288

-Better battery life (1070Mah)
-Fixed some of the firmware and hardware flaws(E.g.Slider loose, explodin' batteries and the phone itself smokes LOL!)

from CNET:
If there's an area the 6288 has focused its efforts on, it's video. In addition to the video calling that's now a standard 3G feature, the phone sports Nokia's video sharing application, which allows you to capture your surroundings with the camera, transmit that video in real-time to someone you're on the phone with, and then end the video sharing session without needing to hang up. The 6288 can also handle video ringtones, and the ability to chuck in a miniSD card of up to 2GB capacity means you can save a whole lot of clips.
From CNET:
Active phones: Nokia N8-00 Black, Nokia N86 8MP Indigo Black - v30.009.
