6233 - question

Hi,

I have a new 6233, and have 2 problems:

If I change my "profiles" (say, a ringtone), or change the screen image, and then happen to turn the phone off for whatever reason, when I turn it back on, the screen image is gone, and the ringtone goes back to default. It's very annoying. Can anyone help?

Also, WHY oh WHY does PC Suite (for MACS!!!!) not support this phone?????

Re: 6233 - question

If the ringtone and wallpaper are on a memory card try storing them in the phone's memory instead. I had a similar problem with my 6233 when using a large memory card.

Re: 6233 - question

I heard about your problem before. It seems it can be solved by updating your firmware version to the last version. You should be able to do that with an USB data cable (CA-53) and Nokia Software Updater utility that you can download from the "Download Software" section of this site.

Re: 6233 - question

Thanks,

The images/ringtones aren't stored on a card, so I'll go get a cable, and try to do what you've sugegsted. I'll let you knwo how I go

Re: 6233 - question

the ringtone and wallpaper doesn't have to be in the phones memory. all my wallpapers, themes and ringtones are stored on my 1 gig card, and when i turn off my phone what i set doesn't change. that may be a firmware problem so you need to update or take it to a service center

Re: 6233 - question

Hi. Tried going on to the firmware update site, but it required PC Suite, which is NOT APPLICABLE TO MACS FOR THIS PHONE.

Can someone help me, with a mac based solution for the 6233?
