6230i Problems.

I have a major problem on my hands. I have a 6230i which just wont come on. I let it discharge completely till it went off then didn't charge it for two days. When i finally tried to charge it and turn it on, it just wouldn't. Instead it appears as if its coming on, flashes white on the screen then goes off. Thot it was the battery so i tried another one but same problem.

What could be the problem??

Dead battery. If it won't charge its completely dead and you need a new battery.

If no other batteries work then I think there is a hardware fault with the power detection and batter level reader so it thinks the battery, any of them is dead.

nokia's best 6230i

batteries totally drained out of power sometimes require a 6-8 hour charge...let the phone charge overnight & try switching it on in the morning.
be precise or keep shut

Re: 6230i Problems.

I once threw my 6230i battery in to liquid nitrogen (yes I know lithium and nitrogen is lethal, but it was not in my lab so its OK).

Anyways, the battery was fully charged before the time and it completely froze after a few seconds. When I had it back in the phone it would not power up at all.

I left it on charge for 8 hours and it came back to life. It needed another 4 hours of charge time before it was full again.

I thought somehow I would get longer life from my battery by super freezing it - but it did not work as you can see.

My suggestion to you is leave it on charge for the night or 8 hours or so.

Re: 6230i Problems.

I have officially entered a period of moaning. Left the phone charging the whole night, still wont come on. It actually acts different when its on charge. When u try powering it on off the charger, it comes on for like a a second, flashes white then goes off again.

When its charging however, it wont even try to come on. It simply flashes two dark and subtle shades of color, barely noticeable unless you pay attention. This happens soon as you connect the charger.

What **bleep** me off the most is that this Saturday, i was supposed to trade in the phone + some cash for an N73. How i wanted the 73.

Re: 6230i Problems.

With it in the charger you have to hold down the power for at least 10 seconds for it to come on.

I've had that similar situation before where i held it and it just flashed and went off with the charger.
