hello,

when I try to turn on my 5310 XpressMusic, I get the warning about starting my phone without a SIM card, when i pass this, and tell it to Accept, the Nokia logo will appeare, the time and date will show, but then, the phone will flash on and off, then just turn off on it's own.

I can't access it when i plug it in USB, and I cant acess the menu's or reset it to factory defults.

I read somewhere that it could be the music player or the music files that could have corrupted it, the phone was great up until my ipod went missing and I had to use the cell phone as an mp3, so i know it's probably one of the song files that is mesing me up like, i just can't figure out how to go inside the phone and delete the music files or even reset it.

If any, has any idea's on how to fix this, please respond, all i want to do is access the phone when i plug it through the USB slot and delete the music files on there.

P.S even when i try and start it with a SIM card, it will do the same thing, I only took it off because when it is asking me if i want to use the phone without the SIM it stays on.

Almost same thing started happening to me today on the same phone!
Except i dont get the SIM error, but after startup it displays the welcome message, then a white screen with the signal strength, battery and bluetooth icons, then powers down.

I looked through the forum archives and a corrupt memory card was mentioned. I removed my 4gb micro SD and it booted fine!
Good news I guess but looks like i have to reload 4gb of music

hey, I moved the SD card and still nothing :/
isn't there a master boot I can do to the phone or something to restore everything to factory settings without having the phone turned on?

Reset to factory settings > 12345

You only can reset with the phone on

i had the same problem however upon reading this discussion and considering the fact that it could be due to corrupt files (music files wtv) i realised that this started occuring upon removing my memory card and i have a few... so i looked around for the one that was previously in the 5310 and put it back in while the phone was off. This time while turning it on (with sim and memory card that was used before the boot looping) and after it asked for the date it froze for a few seconds and started up like usual
