I currently have a Nokia 6101 but am looking to change as it is more than a little battered and worn. I only need something simple and straightforward; accordingly, I'm looking at purchasing the 2720 flip phone.
I'm concerned, however, about memory and, specifically, memory capacity for text messages (SMS is mostly what I use my phone for).
My 6101 has, as is my understanding, 4.4mb of internal memory. I have recently been getting warnings that my memory is nearly full whenever I get sent text messages. Accordingly, I tried to free up some room by deleting games and photographs that I didn't need. This doesn't seem to have solved the problem, and it appears that the amount of memory allocated for SMS is limited.
Is this actually the case, and does a similar principle apply for the 2720? The 2720 has 32mb of memory and I would've thought this to be plenty given that I'll mostly be using it for texts. But can the 2720 make use of all that memory, or is it limited in the number of text messages it can hold? Does anyone know how many messages it can hold?
Thanks for your assistance.

Is there any way to delete entire folders (or just more than 30+) without this thing freezing? Mine's doing the same thing. I'm at just about the same number of messages (3734 between Inbox and Sent) and now it's basically stuck. I can't receive anything and I can't delete more than 20 or 30 and it freezes.
Is there a way to dump everything or clear the entire memory?
I'm looking into a way to maybe Bluetooth all the folders to my computer and maybe it won't freeze up that way.
Have you come up with any ways to deal with this thing?
