I downloaded the Ovi Store Client last week and it appeared to work well. However, when I tried to open it yesterday the screen refreshed and nothing else happened. Ovi Store will not open.
I then went to remove the Ovi Store Client but halfway through removal a message popped up saying "Removal failed".
I have re-booted my E71 but with no effect.
How do I remove the client in order to re-install?

Hi, go into your applications folder (in the app manager) and delete it.
applications>app manager>ovi storexxxx> delete.

Thank you, dsrainmaker, for taking the time to reply to my problem.
However, that is exactly what I did - applications - app manager - ovi store - delete, - except on my E71 it says 'remove' instead of 'delete'.
When I press 'remove' the progress bar goes about halfway and then a message says 'removing failed'.
Any other suggestions? BTW I can't find the root folder under File manager.

Interesting...I've not seen that before. Have you tried a full power cycle (even removing the battery) and rebooting the device?
One last thing-
in the file manager- did you try both the phone memory and the external memory locations?
For me, I see it in the C
hone Memory>Installed Files>Ovi Storexxxx

Hi, I have had a replacement N97 mini delivered in he last week. I was able to use Ovi Store with my first one (although did experience some issues with downloading apps due to the login error). However the one i have been sent - and this is brand new out of the box rather than just handset replacement - does not open Ovi store. It just refreshes the screen but does not open anything.
Can you help please, as i would like to download a few apps now and then!

I just got my brand new phone the other day and the same happened to my Ovi Store. What I noticed is that after pressing the 'Cancel' on loading screen, it tells there's an error in connection. It gave me a clue.
There's a 'Destination' or access point that was setup to be defaultly used. You need to test if it has Internet connection. It's likely to be defaultly used by your native phone browser. If it has no Internet connection, then replace it with an access point that you are sure to have one.

I am using an n95 as well as an e63. I have the exact same problem with both.
I get "We're sorry. Ovi Store is currently not available for your device." when I try to go to store.ovi.com to download stuff
I have tried to remove the "ovi store" application using the "applications manager", but it won't go away. I have tried to use application managed to "download" a new "ovi store" but I get the above message.
I believe this used to work, but right after I installed the new version of "ovi Store" to my devices, this started to occur. I was forced to update by the application.
I am very frustrated.

I have the same problem. I used to use OVI Store no problem. But somehow it got corrupted so it would not open. I "removed" it using the Remove option in the folder. And I reinstalled it twice. It still does not open when I choose it.
Interestingly there is a SECOND Ovi Store Icon which I cannot remove. So how do I get rid of what I guess is a second installation that does not show up in the application manager, and does not "remove" when I choose the remove option in the folder.
This problem means I cannot download any apps from Ovi store, even when I send a link to my phone. It always asks me to install Ovi Store...even with I have TWO Ovi Store icons in my installed folder.

I can only suggest to use your browser to access ovi store. That said, i didn't actually uninstall the ovi app to fix it, i just went to ovi.store on my phone's web browser and then downloaded the latest one. It automatically replaced the one i had on my phone and i haven't had a problem since. Also worth checking you have latest software update for the phone, as it may be that you need to have the latest patch/version to run new ovi app...

I have an E71 and the ovi store app will not open... I have tried the hard and soft reset, then today the icon showed up but will not open the app. Please help.
