Hey man, I have the same problem (Nokia C5). Yeah You can reinstall ovi store by going in the web browser at ovi.com and just download the ovi store app, but I did try to do it this way and it's not working. I have send also an e-mail to ovi store at facebook, about this problem, but I did not get any reply jet ![]()

You need to uninstall Ovi store first and then try reinstalling it through your web browser or Ovi suite.

Hi folks,
Just to chime in here, I'm having exactly the same issue as you guys. The Ovi store displays the logo screen for a few seconds, and then bails out. Details below:
(1) The problem happened after a factory reset. The Ovi store was fine beforehand.
(2) Restoring the firmware from the Ovi suite doesn't fix this.
(3) You can't uninstall the Ovi store in order to try a clean install.
I've tried a number of suggestions in other threads on this issue, but none solve the problem.
I hope Nokia will look into this as a priority. If Ovi is central to their business, then it seems incomprehencable to me that they'd sit on a bug like this for long.
I really hope there's an upcoming fix on the way, as this is a deal breaker and I'm close to returning the phone!

Hello there
I just got a new Nokia C7 a few days ago and can not log in into Ovi store. I have read the old posts here and aparently this is not an isolated problem, Can anybody tell me if the people at nokia have already solve it? or a way to solve it?.

Hi, I know it's a little late, but maybe you're still facing this problem.
I had the same, Ovi Store opened and showed some nice new apps, but as soon as I selected one I only got the "Loading" circle on white screen, I waited even for hours.
After some research in the www I found that probably the qt-package shows some compatibility issues leading exactly to this picture.
Solution: reinstall the "Ovi Notifications Support Package", e.g. from http://nds2.betalabs.nokia.com/reader/Ovi_Notifica
This worked at least for me.
Cheers,
Jörn

I have the same problem with my N8. After a hard reset Ovi Store didn't work. Nothing could fix it. This is so annoying!!! And Nokia doesn't answer to my mail. So, I start asking why not buying an Android phone. Only reason for that: Nokia is not such a big data collector.

The latest version of OVI Store for Symbian^3 is 2.08.042. This is working on my C7 although there are still glitches:
a) After installing certain apps (e.g. Social Networking, IM for Nokia) when you attempt to launch the app within the OVI store, the store confirms the application did not install correctly even though it did.
b) OVI store continues to remind you to install the latest version of IM for Nokia even though this has been installed....several times now.

Hi Jörn,
This link really helped me. Thanks a lot! ![]()
For anybody who has my problem, here is what happened to me:
After I updated my nokia C7 latest version of symbian Anna my ovi store icon just stopped working. When I touched the icon it was not loading. I reinstalled the software a few times, but nothing changed, then I made hard reset of the phone and then I got the loading screen. After reinstalling ovi store few times i read what Jörn have written and clicked the link. An oldest version of ovi store was installed, and when i touched the ovi store icon I was singed in
. Then just got the latest version of ovi store and everything is ok at the moment.
So use the link Jörn posted. Thanks again! ![]()
