Are you forgetting that the Omnia HD uses Windows Mobile OS? That is a horrible OS for a mobile phone. S60 5th has its shortcomings, but its 10 times more usable that Windows Mobile.
My previous phone was Windows Mobile. You need to pull out the stylus to do anything. Even fancy shells, like HTC Touch Flo, only make certain basic tasks not require a stylus. Anything else requires the stylus. It made the phone such a pain to use, such as using any app. Hopefully version 7 will be better because most software runs on WinMo.

besides price, tho for a flagship it is within 'norm' of pricing, i have only one major gripe and it is the phone's memory management. other aspects are actually great. have no major issues now, tho the beginning was not so sweet and have cost me long nights trying to figure out what in the world is going on. today i can say i am pleased with what it is right now. tomorrow i hope to say that it is a great phone with the upcoming updates. all i need is more memory, ram and increased stability, tho my phone on v12 is actually really stable.

I think Nokia have seen the error of their ways...
The key to silencing many of the critics on this forum is the drive c: capacity 90% of the crashes would not be occurring if the device had enough onboard memory.
And now the X6 is coming with a 512Mb ROM, that should leave a massive Mb for drive c:
How many N97 users would be complaining now if they had that now ???
What a totally stupid corporate game they've played = saved a 1$ per N97 sold in cost of additional memory, got a hefty amount of returns and dissatisfied customers, and left the rest waiting and praying for v20 firmware to save the day.
It won't, you can tell by the low key launch at NW09, they are saying Oct to give time for hype to die down & v20 will be the last major upgrade to the N97 as they know it's too short of memory to do anything more with it.
Well they say that 2million N97s have been sold, I really hope that $2m (world-wide) is worth all the lost faithful and future customers.
Bad move Nokia, really bad move
