turn off phone before removing memory card N95

i have removed the memory card many times to plug into the computer. but last time i did it, i plugged it into the computer and it told be it needed formatting. I tried putting it back into the phone and everything had gone!

This is just advice so you dont have to go through the same problem. Ever since i have turned the phone off first and i also click on eject before removing the card from the computer, everything has been fine so far.

This sort of thing can happen when updates to the card are incomplete. You need to go through the Card removal process on the phone:

Press the power button and go to the "Remove mem. card" option.

This should ensures that everything is closed off properly before the card is removed.

that's a good advice, since the PC have a feature that says you can safely remove the mem card/usb flash!

removing w/o this procedure can corrupt directory of mem card.

Knowledge not shared is knowledge wasted!
