switching from e series to n series need some help .

well, yes i am more of a multimedia internet guy, and switching to n series, and i have a few questions : i noticed on the n97, after i tried it for 10 minutes, that every time u click on something on the screen there is a small vibration, can that be turned of ? and does the n97 comes with nokia maps 2.0 or ovi maps 3.0 ? and will the free navigation offer from nokia be on the n97? and does the n900 have a sensor for autorotate between landscape and portrait? and on the n97, can i for example update my status on facebook using hand writing ?and can i get an office documents editor on the n97, or n97 mini ?

Answering to few questions of yours The vibration is the haptic feedback which the device gives for the touch you can very well customise it in the profiles by switching it off or changing the level of vibrating effect. The new ovi maps for n97 is not available now i heard that its going to come along with the next firmware so u will be getting it The quickoffice application preinstalled in nseries can only open office files and you cant create new or edit. You can purchase the full version of it from quickoffice.com or using 'updates and upgrades' option in the quick office app.

Regarding the n900 question, no, the device only works in landscape mode. The only time it may be used in portrait mode is when making a call. I have no idea if Nokia plans to create an update to allow portrait mode use. This is a drawback which was because the OS isnt exactly a phone OS but a tablet PC OS.

If you are more of an mobile internet user who wants a device in substitue to your laptop then n900 is the device, its a tablet which can also make calls. All i can say now between n97, n97mini with 5800 is only the extended QWERTY keypad which the two devices have and n97 mini's build quality is better when compared to 5800 and n97 and it has a huge inbuilt memory in c drive, all the three (5800,n97,n97mini) runs on same operating system with almost same features.

Regarding your vibration question, the settings are different for call alert and touch vibrations, switching off touch vibrations will not change the call alert type, your device vibrates provided you have to switch on vibration in the profile.

Personally, if you're looking for the best bang for buck, its the 5800 since the only diff between it and the n97's as krizanand said, is the keyboard and max storage. The n97 has 32gb internal expandable with an additional 16gb card, the mini has 8gb internal+16gb card max, the 5800 only maxes out with a 16gb card. If I were to choose, I'd wait for the n97's january/february batch with the prebuilt in v2.0 firmware in the hopes that everything is already fixed with it, as we already gave Nokia a lot of time to fix things. The qwerty keyboard is a big thing if you like to surf the net or type a lot as the extra screen space is a deal breaker. I dont have an n97 though since when I bought my 5800, the n97 wasnt released yet, and I am in no mood to change phones so soon. ^_^
