ok this is baffling me...

first off .. info on the pc suit

PC-connection solution:

Versie 9.23.3.0

Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver:

Versie 7.1.17.0

Operating System:

Microsoft Windows Vista 64-bits editie, Service Pack 2

for so far this relevant information...

2 phones, same problem

1 the N80 and 2 the N97

hooked both up to PCsuite... all works perfectly

over 2 weeks back, while both were hooked into pcsuite, same pc/program (which should not be a problem). All has been working for months on end fine.

receiving and sending sms/mms

over abt 2 weeks back suddently after a receive or send, the SMS don't show up anymore for the N80

so i tought this might be a phone problem

rebooted the N80, hooked up, same problem

the MMS do show, the listing takes place, but the SMS do not appear anymore

and you are unable to send SMS via pcsuite, but you can send MMS.

baffling..

so hooked up the N80 to another computer, and... magically no problem

so the problem is not in the phone, but in the communication centre software.

Now i don't need the N80 that often, so on the second pc works for me aswell.

till yesterday.

the N97, I've send an SMS to a client, and after sending, refreshed to list

and SMS did not show anymore, only the MMS are shown.

identical problem to the other phone

I've checked different (googled) sites, but no direct solution found

neither on nokia site(s) or other related site(s).

For some or other reason, the pcsuite application decided to not display, retrieve... the SMS info, but it does show the MMS info

you can not send SMS via pcsuite, but you can send MMS out via pcsuite.

when i check settings => tab General

check for the supported announcements button

then although previously all three where green, now the announcements for incoming messages is red

 I'm sure more of you will have experienced the same thing

Maybe sumone has a workaround for the problem

or can enlighten me to correct this.

any info or assistance is welcome.

update...

just received info of firmware update

so... just updated from v11.0.021 to v12.0.026

still same result

also... rebooted the pc where the problem is, and after reboot same deal.

yep same here latest update fixed this problem for me aswell

although i had still at first on 1 pc a driver issue

this was helped with the connectivity driver from Nokia website.

I have this problem even with newer software.  SW repair does not work and the only solution I found before was to delete and reinstall the software.  I am running windows vista and PC Suite version is 7.1.51.0.  Really frustrating.
