if you are using nokia messaging, make sure you have the latest version that now supports html. its actually very stable and works really really well, which i have never said about this bloody application ever before and i have been using it on and off......more off due to incredible bugs and just a mess, since it was released as a beta app. today i have kept it on my phone for the last two days and am using it all the time. this is very new for me as i have no tolerance for app that do not work. i simply dump them and move on to the next thing. so if you have not done so already i suggest you go to nokia messaging site and send yourself a text message. it is worth it for ONCE

I agree with your comments on the new Nokia Messaging.  It's great to have HTML support in email.  Works a treat.

Re: "Make your Nokia N97 even better" rubbing salt into the wound...

was the aim was to kick where it hurts the most ...& missed the shot !!

If you asking for ver 12 - have my word for it, you have saved yourself from much more trouble. Nokia Cares... or Nokia Cares a damn. Take it the way you like. I have used ver 12 - and have posted my snag list. Nokia - Tight lipped for a response on the same.

on the optimistic side - Ver 2 is big major firmware upgrade. Will give kinetic scrolling, the long press on qwerty n a new music app from the video demo. Thats all for now !! No subsequent major big firmware updates rumoured in the distant future to make the device today ready.

by then nokia would have liquidated the balance n97 inventory & moved on to a newer device - possibly owners like me & you would be left twiddling our thumbs!!

I am amazed how insensitive a corporation like Nokia can become to Its best customers. everyone around owning the n97 is seemingly loosing patience for lack of comment or clarity from Nokia.

PS. if the names have not found existence in dictionary till now,
& given the quality & service - customer outbursts for the nokia & n97 may be extint so why have them in the dictionary at all ?

hi guys.

to sum up

if i buy a car i don´t expect it to work the second year

this goes for mobile phones just as well

the abscence of support and help from Nokia "support" (Nokia Care)

which actually should be called "Nokia doesn´t give a damn"

as well as the store

that doesn´t give a damn as well, that i have now adviced to quit selling the N97

gives me just one option

throw this device away and save some money to get an Iphone

and just to keep interested observers posted : - today is the 25th day of my n97 under repairs, the local nokia care unofficially has confirmed that they will send it back to the higher level care center for the third time as the repairs are not satisfactory ! They cant confirm how much more time Nokia will take and if i would get a replacement. Nokia if you can repair the damn brand new phone. Return me my money! the prices anyways have dropped and i have eroded almost 50% in the last 45 days even without having got to use the phone.

we did try selling the second n97 we have and in India the mobile phone stores are not very keen to pick up this mess as there are apparently few or no takers for this at any decent price. Having bought this 45 days ago, the resale price is less than half at about 15-16K against purchase of 31K.
