Hi

I have had my Nokia 500 music Xpress for approx 8 mths now and i love it

but about a month ago it turned itself off and i thought it was just a one off,

it happened a few times, I would remove battery and sim and put them back in and turn phone back on.  I will a get few days when i have no problems and then it will do it again sometimes 5 or 6 times a day.

Yesterday It happened and i really thought it was not going to come back on.

Eventually got it back on but i havent a clue why it should keep doing this and don't have a clue what to do to rissolve it... is it the software/battery or the phone?

first of all, try to change your sim card

thanx for reply, what would changing sim card acheive?

dont really want a new number.

Although my sim card is an old card from a previous phone, could i get my network to update my number to a new sim?

dont buy new sim card, but try for some time another sim in order to see if the problem is caused by sim card.

just ask, for example, a friend to lend you his sim for some time... if the problem stops, it means that it was caused by your old sim card. understand?

Its the battery.

Had the same problem, resolved it two weeks ago.

There are 3 connections on the battery, get a needle and squeeze them together and then when the battery sits in the phone, the connections are tight and don't become loose and turn the phone off.

Mine has been fine since doing this.
