Ok I just notice that not all my pictures that I had taken is loaded in the photo album. But when i downloaded the photo viwer on ovi all the photos I had taken with the n97 is on there. But on the Nokia photo viewer its missing some pictures. Does anyone else have this problem?

Yes similar problem! The Nokia 'Photos' folder shows the number of images but not the images. Also I transferred all my images from my n95 and it also shows the number of images in the 'download' folder but not the photos. Bit frustrating considering how good the phone itself is.

Got the same problem with my N86 today.All I see when I start the photo album/viewer are blank/no icons..

Don't know what changed from yesterday, other than that I installed the beta labs version of Share on Internet v4

Is there some index file that holds a record of what images should be shown in the gallery? It looks like there may be a problem with whatever is maintaining the list of things to show in the gallery.

As mentioned, images appear in the file manager and when viewing the phone's storage via usb/PC and when changing wallpaper they appear in the list of images you can choose from.

I just had this happen... I'd been playing about and then noticed none of my more recent shots had appeared.

I tried telling it to save to c:, d: (mass) and my microSD on e:

Still couldn't see anything except one I took earlier, and the 98 from the N95 in the downloads (they were on the microSD).

After some digging, I found all the images using the file manager. They were where they should be \images\camera on all 3 drives (exactly where I had told them to be).

I removed the microSD and cleared all the camera folders using the file manager, so in theory I had no pictures.

The photos app still said 1... It couldn't show me a thumbnail anymore, and trying to delete it gave a general system error.

Still couldn't view any new pictures.

So using the file manager I went into d: (mass storage) and told it to format it.

Once it had finished the photo app showed 0 images! Yay!

I then took a photo, and it appeared!

Success.

As to the cause, well the only thing I did do earlier was turn on the GPS recording of images. I'm not sure if this is a red herring, but apart from that I hadn't done anything.

I wish I knew where the image database was as that must be getting corrupted.

Remember 2 thing b4 copying old photos from any other phones esp. nokia n-series. The reason is all picture folders in nseries phone make one more hidden folder in them whose name will be  "_palbtn" (or something like that not sure) becoz this folder contains smaller thumbnails of ur images which act as a negative images for n97 gallery. First of all delete that folder, the second is copy all the pics in the image folder dnt make any othe folder in it. U can view these oics in the photos-> cadownloads. Try this n let me know if this is working or not.

I have same problem here. When I took new photos by camera I cannot see them in the Picture Gallery.

After some days they are appeared, but suddenly. I don't know why.

The same happening with video too.

This is really serious bug, because I even cannot see those pictures through attach mode when creatin e-mail message.

This is really annoying me

So how to fix this? Did anyone beat this bug?

Have you tried what I did?

First connect your N97 to your PC and copy everything from c:\images and e:\image (that's all the photos) onto your PC. In your case you might have to do the c:\video  e:\video  folders too.

Once you have them backed up and safe on your PC, delete everything in those folders, so you are just left with c:\images and nothing below it. Same goes for the folders on the mass storage and the video ones.

Now go into the photo viewer and it should all be empty.

Now take a test picture and see if that appears.

I have the same problem that i can't see any of the picture i've taken in my photo browser all of a sudden.

Think it may well be something to do with turning the GPRS function on the camera as i did that a couple of weeks ago.

 Rubbish!

Am snowed in today so will see if i can find out a solution.

Have had the same problem this and all the other problems have occurred after installing the latest download ,have wasted 2days trying to sort this rubbish phone out ,I have had nokia phones for years but no more ,useless nokia sort this out.

I have the same problem in my N97 mini. It used to be OK but now I cannot see all the images. I can see them in Ovi Suite saved in the phone. I can see them via file manager. I can see them with Nokia Photo Browser application, but I cannot see them with Photos application of N97 mini.

Photo Browser is not good enough for me because you cannot resize or edit the picture. There is a bug in Photos application and Nokia must do something for it
