Hey so what operator are you using? are you sure you defined the settings they provided correctly? when you update everything was erased and you have to reenter your operator settings for internet access multimedia messaging and so on. they can usually text these settings to make it easier for you.
So are u able to access the internet at all on your mobile, tried web browsing does it work?
If you defined an access point check for it at: Go to settings, then connectivity, then click destinations. You will see right at the bottom where it says 'Uncategorised' click that. Do you see the access point you defined in there?
If you do highlight it and press options, scroll down to 'Organise' and choose 'Move to other dest.' Select 'Internet' so its moved to that category. Go back to 'destinations' again and select 'internet'. if you have more than one access point in there you can change the priority order so your phone will know which one to use when they are all available.
Try going back to Vlingo options again and go on settings and click general, select network destination and choose internet! that should do it. If you didn follow mail me again

Hi!
I have had the same problems with destinations, just appear 'Access point' and 'Uncategorised'.
If I click on 'Access point' I receive the message 'Unable to add new access point. Network destination must be defined first.'.
If I click on 'Options', 'Manage', 'New destination', I create a new with 'Test' name, then I select a icon and I receive the message 'Destination created...' and it doesn't appear on the list. If I try to create a new with the same name, I receive the message "Name 'Test' already in use", but it doesn't appear on the list and no application recognizes this destination name.
Whatever, if I click on 'Uncategorized', nothing happens and 'Options'/'Back' menu's options don't reply any more, then I need close with red button, and now, in 'Connectivity', doesn't appear Wi-Fi. If I turn it off and power on, the Wi-Fi returns.
Can anyone help us?
Thanks,

Has anyone got any info on how to fix the problem with calls "not allowed" after the v2 upgrade? My phone is less than a week old and I am heart broken that I can no longer make or receive calls.
Have you tried a reset? Dial *#7370# like dialling a phone number. All of your data will be wiped from the phones memory so be sure to backup anything important.
Also have you tested the phone with another sim to see if your sim is the cause?
Have you tried contacting the network to see if it's an account issue?

I think Nokia should simply document using the hard reset for solving problems. Also, they should simply document that their firmware upgrade procedure is not working properly without a hard reset (by now everyone hopefully knows).
From the days when I used Palm, the instruction on the palm website was to do remove the 'conflicting software' (which was basically unworkable as well), and before returning it, do a hard reset and check if the problem persists, and then even do a zero-out hard reset. Also the trick of restoring without settings in case the problem returns after restoring a backup should be documented.
Many of the upgrade/stability problems can be solved/prevented by doing a hard reset. So question no. 1 for people with problems. Did you do a hard reset? Also, did you check if the problem was still there in the device directly after reset?
