sorry if this is an old question but my phone died and im on a **bleep** dial connection at the moment, so searchingthe forums is taking an age,

 

got an n95-1 plum, been working great for over a year, was using it ok, was in my pocket a few hours, when i took it out nothing, when you turn it it buzzes as normal, and the keypad lights up and thats all, screen never comes on, if i plug the charger in it beeps once and then the same, it wasnt dropped or submerged, ive tried a known good battery in it, still does the same, my battery works other phones, it hasnt been updated recently, and plugging it into the tv, and ive tried the green 3 star reboot option but that doesnt work anyone got any ideas ??? tia

You might have either a bad backlight or a bad display or both.

 

I had that happen to me on one of our N95-1 (we had 5) and I took it to Nokia and they replaced it for free under warranty.

Hi Thanks very much for the info, when i removed the lcd, the phone started as normal, even the bbc iplayer worked when i connected to the tv so i bought a cheapy lcd thru ebay and everything is a-ok, quality of the lcd is poor tho, but will get a better one when cash allows, also got my broadband back on now as well :smileyhappy:, thanks to all those that tried to help :smileywink:
