The accelerometer is not working on my phone. i have checked that the sensors are on working. seems to work when i switch the phone off and on, and then stops. please help. its a new phone and i dont want to send it back to nokia/vodafone just yet.

do you have a screen protector or a case that might be in the way of the sensor? did you update your phone with the latest firmware update ?

have the same prob too, all the games that involves sensors doesnt work for me too.. mines version 40 alerady.. dunno why i cant get this to work.. T_T

You may have to do resets, maybe faulty firmware installation.

Back up data then type *#7870#

Have same problem....I upgraded to the new firm v.40 and now the accelerometer does not work for photos, sms texting....but with games it's working (GT race).

Strange.

Does anybody experience the same or has a solution rather than formatting or sending to nokia repair?

If it happened after a firmware update, the solutions are to reinstall the firmware or to format since the error occurred during the updating process.

 Had the same issue, nothing helped until... I switched to offline mode (where I have touchscreen vibra activated - probable that did the trick) and the turning sensor came back right away. Then went back to 'general' and the turning sensor works fine again even with touchscreen vibra off...
