hi there, I bought my 5800 less than 24 hours ago and I'm already having problems...
I'll start with the non software related question first - I bought my phone from a private company, and I didn't get a -
spare stylus
a carry case
and my usb cable is less than 3 inches long.. from the pictures I found on the internet it's supposed to be a lot longer.
do those come with every 5800 package?
now, I installed a program which is supposed to make the camera be silent while taking pictures. after installing it I can't choose the OVI PC Suite option when connecting it to the pc, and the phone crashes. I deleted the application, but the crashes just got worse; when I turn the phone on it crashes after less than 30 seconds..
any suggestions? I've disabled the auto key lock thingi, I think the battery isn't falling or anything like that.
what should I do? do you guys think this is happening cause I installed that effing program?
if it mattersit's called Cenrep_3rd something.
please give me a hand.. thanks

Hey ![]()
I didnt get a spare stylus... all i got was the one in the phone and a guitar plectrum on a piece of string.
The data cable? Sure.. mines like tiny as well.
No carry case here either. I think nokia have stopped the free accessories pack.
Id try a factory reset on the phone now, format the memory and get rid of any damage that app has done.

okay I can't even turn my 5800 on..
now what? ![]()
think it's cause of the app? I'm afraid the store won't do anything even though it's 1 day old cause of that effing app

Return it to the retailer, just don't mention what you did.
Before you do though try this:
/discussions/board/message?board.id=topfaq&thread.
If they won't help you take the phone to a nokia care point.
Care points/service centres and repair info:
Elsewhere: Click here, select your country, go to the support section, then select repair.

will that action that you linked delete my hebrew?
also, do they have a way to check what I installed? cause I'm kinda afraid that they'll say they won't fix it even though it's 1 day old, cause of the thing I've installed

When you say "crashed" - what do you mean? If the phone turns itself off, mine did the same - I searched on the internet and found that in some builds of the 5800 the battery is a loose fit inside the case, and sometimes loses connection with the pins. You can solve the problem by wedging a little bit of paper underneath the battery to make it a tighter fit.
My phone still turns off if it's being jolted around sometimes, but now it only happens about once every few days so I can live with it.
