n97 is neither a mini-computer, nor a smart-phone

[ Edited ]

It can not be true but its true. When i bought n97 i was very happy. I was happy because i thought that this phone would be perfect. After using N78 (that was a great phone) n97 might be better. But it was not.

First of all n97 is not for a businessman. I realized that i could not access to web pages of my banks. with n78 i could do a little bit but with n97 i couldn't.

Then before putting this phone to ebay i thought that i would wait for a while. Wait for Fw ver20. After updating a new firmware maybe it would be a better phone. But no. It was useless. Still i can not access my bank's web pages. Becase it has a touchscreen and the n97's web program is not allowed you to activate textboxes while moving your finger or pen on the screen. You can not activate textboxes and move on the screen at the same time. This was a simple problem but it makes the phone useless for me.

I was not wating for scrolling menu, or more ovi store programs, or the other teenager things. I was waiting for more functionalities.  Because it was announced as a mini-computer and i wanted to put my computer in my pocket.

Its not a computer. After giving a lot of money i understand this phone is not for me. More cheaper phone can be more functional but not N97.

But it was so wrong to be announced n97 as a computer. Is it a smart-phone? After n78's functions i dont think so. N78 is more functional phone.

After all i understand symbian was a wrong choice. Symbian maybe but n97 was not a true choice. My n97 will go to ebay. Maybe there is a teenager there and will enjoy it.....

acessing your bank from the phone?that's not a idea to begin with as some banks have some security requirement for their site ...

any way i do agree that the N97 is not built to please all customer as it's part of the NSERIES-multimedia

if you're a tradesmen..this wouldn't suit your needs ...but your kid will brag about it :manhappy:
