n97 battery monitoring...

[ Edited ]

Just wanted to see how is ur n97 battery , i am actually testing mine individually like with constant data, call, gps etc.

Ran the first test:

Firmware: 12.0.024

Ok so i charged my 97(completely)

--8 am onwards i had constant data (EDGE-I dont have 3G) on with Gmail Push, Facebook & Rss updates on my home screen (all of these constantly update)

--Aprt from this I also listned to 20-30 mins of music

--Downloaded Ngage and NFS on it, Played for 10 mins

-- Used GPS for 10 mins

-- Txtd but not much (5 mins max)

-- Recieved a couple of calls

--Watched a clip on you tube

--9 PM at night I still had 3 bars (Remember I never switched my data connection off)

--Turned of my data network from constantly being on, Surfed a bit more, by 12 am I had 2 bars.

--Finally at 12 I put my fone to normal standby mode with 2 bars and slept, woke up in the mornin at 7 with my n97z alarm, still had 1 bar left after 30 mins or so had the low battery signal...

Well thats it for the first test :smileytongue: hope it helps some of u at the battery quality of 97 for me it was quiet good, I will soon test with GPS as primary and so on with other services..

Hope this was a helpful, Post ur 97z batterz perfomance..and if u have any tips for incresin the time..

(PS: My network scaning is only GSM)

Too many open applications? Especially the GPS sort where the phone keeps searching for satellites..

Re: n97 battery monitoring...

I am thinking of changing my network scanning to just GSM.Will it increase the battery life significantly? Because your battery life was good. My battary only lasts one or two days, 3 days maximum...

Re: n97 battery monitoring...

Normally, if you have charged the battery (full) and let the phone without doing anything, the battery lasts about 400 hours (about 430 hours, if you have the gsm mode).

Close any application using GPS (ex Maps) and dont let it run in the background and dont publish any of these in home screen

Re: n97 battery monitoring...

I had the same - after I installed trial F-Secure and the trial period expired (but not before) - warm mobile, battery discharged in half day.

After uninstalling F-Secure everything returned to normal. This was the cause or not? I do not know.
