whenever i see i have a network connection, i have no apps running and the phone is set to only connect when needed. under the connection manager it says its connected to the nokia server and something about xmpp. the nokia chat isn't running and ive deleted it. this didn't seem to be the problem (cannot even re-install it now but that another problem), ovi social is the oter suspect and i cannot delete that at all. i have removed the social networks from it though. i was hoping the anna update would fix the problem but for whatever reason, nokia are preventing me from having it! i cannot wait any longer as my monthly net allowance has nearly gone.

anyone any ideas?

My N8 started doing this today. I upgraded to anna last month. When I go into the connection manager the app using the connection is "xxmpservice". Only about 50kB are transferred even though the connection can be active for hours. A restart doesn't solve the issue.

Problem seems to have gone after I re-installed the ovi store app. A component of it must have got corrupt of something.
