hey, i am considering upgrading my 6280 to the n70, but b4 i do that i just want to check on one more thing; the thing i interested me with the 6280 was the stereo widening, which made listening to my mp3s better than my ipod. so i just want to know whether the n70 have stereo widening and equaliser. thanx!

No sir, and nor will it playback anything but plain unprotected MP3's.

Hi fatboy

You're right about there being no stereo widening in N70, but it's not correct to say it will only play unprotected mp3 files. N70 will also play AAC, eAAC and eAAC+ audio.

since the n70 is a smartphone, is it possible to install another media player or plugin for realplayer that would have stereo widening and equaliser? if possible would you please tell me the name of that software/plugin? thanks!

It doesnt play back AAC+ (eAAC)!!!

Try it! it dumps the SBR portion of the stream.

Would love to hear from ANYONE who has managed to get it to play AAC+ correctly.

i think i have the same problem as you. The eAAC+ files sound like crud. They are suppose to be better AND smaller that regular AAC files. You sound like you know more about the technical asspect of eAAC+ that me. the AAC conversion at 128 or 160kbps works just fine but the eAAC+ conversion at 64 kbps should not be worse quality than regular AAC files. Also, it has nothing to do with the phone because they still play poorly right from the Music Manager player.
