Hello, can some one tell me are the Micro SD cards and Mini SD card the same thing?

Lol, N73 or any other models except for N800(It has two slots for various cards-I am **bleep**ing jealous of it) support only one crad type.
Yes, I prefer micor SD.
Actually you should consider which brand to choose and must be careful about them.
Besides, nokia's own cards I prefer kingston, sandisk etc.

I have noticed that MicroSD is substantially smaller than MiniSD.

MiniSD is bigger, MicroSD is tiny!

You'd be surprised how small it is.

u can also use micro sd to n73 using an a mini sd adaptor, there is Sandisk MULTISDkit available w/ mini sd and regular size SD adaptor with it...

One thing to be careful about: make sure the card you buy is NOT miniSDHC. These cards are bigger (sizes over 4GB) but are a different standard that only the N95 is compatible with at the minute.

I wouldn't worry about the manufacturer, though: I've had cards from 4 or more different manufacturers and they've all worked fine.
