hi I have a nokia 5800 ver 31.0.101 when I go to OVI maps no map is loaded the GPS works but the maps do not its all green, I can zoom out and see the world but if I zoom in there's nothing, it was working for my local area but I could not search or see anywhere else, I traveled 100 miles yesterday from where I lived but the map never loaded  when I got there either.Today I have reinstaled the latest maps, (over written) that didnt work in fact I lost the local area now too. I then did a hard reset still no maps ,I instaled the navigation maps from OVI.  it updated the options to navigation but still no maps, so I am now at a loss I hope someone can help

hi carman58 thank you for your quick responce,

It works fine now,    

I had loaded the installer already since and before the hard reset and I thought that had loaded the map and I missed the download maps from the pc suite, that prompted me to load the the maps installer again and overwrite, so I did just in case, after it installed the ovi suite opened at the maps option which gave me the  choice to download maps and install to the phone. I have tried to explain at length in the hope it may help someone else like me who misses the obvious sometimes. 

 gps navigation was one of the reasons I bought this phone

They say its got free voice navigation for life but after so many days my phones voice navigation stopped and said the license had expired. Now its telling me its $12.68 for one year. How come I cant get the free voice navigation like they say?

Download the latest version of Ovi maps from the Ovi site
