hi friends...i want to know that..is nokia symbian version v^3 is an operating system..
If yes,
Than why not nokia update its v5 by v^3..as v^3 is good one than v5..

Like android 2.2 to 2.3 ...they update their operating system for all android enable headset,instead of perticular range of headset,...but in symbian we have to buy new cellphone for using v^3 version of symbian OS.. this is irritatingto me so much about symbian....

Why symbian donot do like android..

Is in future this happens so or not(v5 =v^3)..?

Hardware using 5th edition is not up to scratch to run S^3. S^3 needs hardware acceleration and previous devices do not have it.

S^3 Is an OS, yes.

S^3 needs other and better hardware parts to function properly.

Nokia has also announced that they will continous develope S^3, so it looks like S^3 owners can expect to get their OS updated or at least get new features constantly as they are made. From the article linked to below, you can see that it looks like we're getting a constantly evolving OS.

We have to wait and see, but it looks like Nokia is going for another approach than earlier where you had to buy a new device to get the new OS.
