help choosing new phone please

hello people

Can i ask you for your recomendations on a new phone i have tryed a couple of upgrades now and sent them both back and im now tearing my hair out lol.
all i need is a phone that looks nice,
makes calls without turning itself off (n73 lol)
has a good camera,
and has operating system that is compatible with tomtom navigation 5.2 or 6

the two phones i had were 6280 lovely phone but cannot use tomtom on it
and n73 best phone yet but just couldnt answer calls without it rebooting
im on orange and wondered if all the probs i'd had with the n73 were due to orange. looking arround peoples comments on here i wasnt the only one the have the phone shutting down

is it all s60 phones that are un reliable?

Your comments will be greatfully read and hopefuly ill get to upgrade to a good phone.

oh sorry my current phone is 6280 running tomtom and doing what i want but its just getting a bit tired now

many thanks martin

Of course not all the nseries phones are unreliable. the point is you have to use them with some tricks.
For example if you buy n91 you must have to follow the rules made for n91 hDD i.e. installing themes on hdd is strictly prohibited.
If you (had!) use N73 then you must deactivate the option to use 3d ringtones in order to avoid rebooooooooooooting while answering calls.
And if you use N80 then you must have to sacrifice with the battery life.
So my recommendations. If you want non symbian (I donno if they support TomTom 5.2 or 6) then you may go for 6233,6288-the second I donno is out)
And if you want symbian then you may go for N70,n71,N80,n91 and upcomong N95.
bY THE WAY I THINK n73 IS SUPPOSED TO BE THE MOST PROBLEMATIC DEVICE besides n91 lol.

Choose the n80 it has minor problems but i've used a variety of 3g phones and this is my favourite.I'm not at all technical but i've installed third party installations and used it as a normal mobile and it's absolutely brilliant.
easy access to web
excellent camera
simple phone interface

Heres my opinion n93 but only if you live near a nokia service centre! Upgrade to v20 the catch is that this firmware has a bit of a prob using night mode video it records black and white! If you are lucky check what fw you have if its v11 stick with it no probs! The n80 is the next choice upgrade to v4 via service centre or nokia updater personally id go with the n80

Re: help choosing new phone please

According to the TomTom v6 compatibility list, the choices are the N80 or the E61.

I know nothing about the E61 (and I'm too lazy to look) except that it's aimed at business users so probably doesn't have all the consumer toys I'd want.

I had a really dire time for the first few months with N80, however the latest firmware release (v4) has turned it right around: now that things are working (for me) it's a pretty impressive phone. The only gripes I have are battery life, which is not great, but I've gotten used to and the camera, which is a little disappointing, though that could be because there is no lens cover and since the lens sits exactly where my fingers want to be, there's probably half a pound of finger grease distorting the images.

I'd be tempted to hang on until January and get the N95, however you just know that's going to take 6 months of pain before it's bedded down.
